Abstract

1,175,349. Making ferromagnetic cores; coiling flat spirals. HONEYWELL Inc. 22 July, 1968 [21 July, 1967], No. 34784/68. Headings B3A and B3E. A ferromagnetic core is made by winding a ribbon, strip or wire of ferromagnetic material around a bobbin or a part thereof and a laminar spacing member (31), Fig. 3 (not shown), in contact therewith and then removing the spacing member. The bobbin is preferably in two parts 11, 22 adapted to fit one within the other, the material being wound around the inner part so that it is contained within a chamber 26 formed between the two parts.
