Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce operating force for a shut-off valve by constituting said valve from a poppet for opening and closing a path and a pilot valve for controlling said poppet to mechanically operating the pilot valve. CONSTITUTION:A shut-off valve V1 is constituted from a valve body 10, a poppet 20 and a pilot valve 30 incorporated in said valve body. By opening and closing the pilot valve 30 can be moved the poppet 20 to open and close a main path 13 so that, even if fluid passing through the main path 13 has high pressure large flow, the control of the fluid can be optimized only by providing the large- sized poppet 20 without a large-sized valve spool 32 of the pilot valve 30. Thus, in any case, the shut-off valve can be operated by a small mechanical operating force against the weak spring force of a return spring 33.
