Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a simple constitution excluding a muting analog switch, by turning off all analog switches for tracking control by means of the mute signal and accordingly cutting off the transmission of the tracking signal. CONSTITUTION:The output of one of the NOR circuits 140 and 150 forming a logical circuit 220 together with an inverter 160 is inverted to a high level alternately and every time the reproduced signal of the discrimination signal fP3 with which the tracking signals fP1 and fP2 at both ends of a track is applied. Then one of the analog switches 70 and 90, 100 and 80 connected to the rectifiers 110 and 120 is turned on among the analog switches 70 and 80, 90 and 100 by which the signals fP1 and fP2 are switched complementarily. Thus a servo tracking output is produced from a differential amplifier 130. When a high-level muting signal TM is applied in the quick forwarding mode, etc., the outputs of the circuits 140 and 150 are not inverted into a high level. The switches 70-100 are not turned on to cut off the tracking signal. As a result, no muting analog switch is required for the subsequent devices after the amplifier 130.
