Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid an error output approximate to a perfect double system, by carrying out an inspection for the utility group circuits by means of a holding group circuit which is usually in the stop mode in case when the holding double system is worked. CONSTITUTION:The utility and holding group output control circuits 7A and 7B possess a 3-state buffer that separates the input from the output plus a comparator that detects the dissidence between the bits corresponding at an input terminal and an output terminal respectively. An output control circuit (7B) of the holding group cuts off the signal route by usually setting the output of the 3-state buffer at a high impedance. Both switches 8 and 9 are usually closed, and thus the comparator of the output control circuit (7B) compares the output of the holding group (1B) with the output of an output control circuit (7A) of the utility group (1A). According to the result of comparison, an alarm signal is produced or the output of the utility group is prevented.
