Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve quality of a guide vane for a water turbine and to eliminate casting defects that have been occurred in conventional methods, by manufacturing a blade part on the guide vane by machining a forged stock into a blade member and coupling complicated parts that can not be machined in a unitary manner by way of electron-beam welding, and connecting main shaft parts consisting of forged round rods also by way of electro-beam welding. CONSTITUTION:Flange parts 1a are formed on the opposite sides of a blade part 1 shaped in the form of a blade by extending the blade part 1 made of a forged or rolled stock to a proper length in the axial direction of the blade part. Then, flange pieces 1b are fixed to the blade parts 1 by way of electron-beam welding to shape the flange part 1a into a cylindrical form. The blend part 1 having flange pieces 1b fixed thereto are welded to main shaft parts 2 after machining the flange pieces 1b into a required form, and then the blade part 1 and the main shaft parts 2 are coupled together by way of electron-beam welding. That is, the main shaft parts 2 and the blade part 1 can be coupled with high accuracy by coupling them by use of a tenon or mortise 1C of the blade part 1.
