Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily form a precise male screw without hampering the rotation of a female screw with burrs, by positioning the joint face of divided dies at escape parts where the male screw does not exist, and making the diameter of the escape parts smaller than the inside diameter of the female screw to be engaged with the male screw.
CONSTITUTION: When a male screw 2 is concurrently formed at the part of the opening of a vessel 1, a groove acting as a male screw-constructing part is not formed at parts adjacent to the joint faces 6 of divided dies 5, 5, so as to offer escape parts 3 which have a width of about a fifth times the diameter of the opening and where the male screw 2 does not exist. The outside diameter of the escape parts 3 is made smaller than the inside diameter of a female screw to be engaged with the male screw 2. The notched end surfaces 4 of the male screw 2 facing to the escape parts 3 are inclined or curved along the same direction as the moving direction of the divided dies 5, 5 or so that their root parts are positioned outside.
