PURPOSE: To manufacture high quality flange with high yield, by forming a ring- shaped blank taken from a long rough pipe manfactured by a centrifugal casting to a prescribed shape by a die casting.
CONSTITUTION: A ring-shaped blank taken from a long rough pipe manufactured by a centrifugal casting is used for making flanges. The ring-shaped blank is subjected to a die forging and a flange having a prescribed shape is manufactured. When this method is applied, economization of blank, uniformalization in flange quality, and improvement in manufacturing efficiency can be contrived.
