Abstract
1,233,289. Making turbine blades. DAIMLER-BENZ-A.G. 4 Sept., 1969 [4 Sept., 1968], No. 43834/69. Heading B3A. [Also in Division F1] A hollow turbine blade is made from two halves 21, 22 electron beam welded or brazed together along a seam 23. The blade halves may be produced by precision casting and subsequent machining before they are joined together. The blade profile and root 25 are then finish shaped by erosion, etching or electrolytic treatment.
