Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the adhesive strength of plating metal by activating the internal wall surfaces of a mold body, made of copper or copper alloy, with a specific treating solution and then by plating them with specific metal. CONSTITUTION:The internal wall surface 5 of a mold body 1 made of copper or copper alloy, after being smoothed by being cut and polished, is degreased and then washed. In an activating treatment in a mixed aqueous solution of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide, the whole of a degenerative layer is oxidized with the hydrogen peroxide and then dissolved and removed to make the surface of a base layer suitably finely uneven. Further, a metallic plating layer 4 is formed by using alloy of nickel and at least one kind of metal among iron or manganese and cobalt.
