Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve a quality of a molding product, extend a service life time of a metallic mold, and make it reusable with padding by forming an alloy layer containing Ni or Co as an essential component, and P or B with W, on a molding surface of a metallic consisting of a metallic base material.
CONSTITUTION: On a molding surface of a metallic mold consisting of a metallic base material, an alloy layer, which contains more than one kind of Ni and Co as an essential component, and further more than one kind of P and B with W or more than one kind of Mo, Mn, or Fe, is formed by electroplating or electroless plating. By this means, even in a metallic mold of complicated shape, a homogeneous alloy layer with a same thickness can be easily formed on a surface of projecting or recessing part of a mold. After formation of an alloy layer on a metallic mold and before its application for molding, a heat treatment applied at about 100W600°C for a adequate time, improves an adhesive strength between a base material and an alloy layer, a hardness, and a mold releasing property.
