Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an absorbent liquid having a highly resistance to hydrosis even when coming into contact with water or water vapor and also a high CO absorbability by dissolving a complex of CuCl with an oxygen acid derivative of phosphorus in an organic solvent.
CONSTITUTION: As the oxygen acid derivative to be used in an absorbent liquid for CO, a phosphate or a phosphine oxide having a melting point of 20°C or less and a boiling point of 100°C or more is preferably used, and also as an organic solvent to be used in the absorbent liquid, an aromatic hydrocarbon, an alcohol, an etherester, a ketone, an amide, a sulfoxide, a glycol, a carbonate, or an amine is used. The absorbent liquid may be in slurried state or a solution, and the preferred proportions of CuCl: an oxygen acid derivative of phosphorus: an organic solvent is 1:0.25W 5:0W20. Carbon monoxide absorbed in the absorbent liquid can be released by rasing its temperature or reducing its pressure, and the absorbent liquid can be reused.
