Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain coarsely granulated coal with low ash content in a short time, by placing a flotation machine and an underwater granulator side by side, carrying out the flotation and granulation of fine powder coal continuously.
CONSTITUTION: Slurry of fine powder coal having a concentration of solid content of 5W20wt% together with a flocculant such as kerosine, diesel oil, etc. a foaming agent is introduced from the feed opening 7 to the flotation machine 1, and the fine powder coal together with the foams is raised to the water surface of the flotation machine 1, to form a fine coal froth with a concentration of solid content of 20W30wt%. The froth is introduced to the froth path 4 of flow by the raking machine 3 set above the flotation machine 1, and fed directly to the underwater granulator 2. While, ash, etc. separated from the fine coal in the flotation machine 1 is taken out from the outlet 5 to the outdie of the system.
