Abstract
PURPOSE: To make calcium usable for a long time as an additive for an ionized water manufacturing device to make the rate of its dissolution constant and to perform stable electrolysis by solidifying calcium to larger than granules.
CONSTITUTION: Powdery calcium is solidified by a suitable binder and is formed into a granular or block shape having lumps larger than granules. The granular calcium 1 is contained in a vessel 2 having fine pores, and this vessel 2 in installed in the water flow passage in the upper part of an ionized water manufacturing device. Feed water ascends in a flow passage 3 and when it contacts with the vessel 2, the granular calcium 1 dissolves in water. The water contg. calcium passes through the passage 3 and is fed to an electrolyzing part. Since this calcium for addition is of a granular or block shape, it has advantages such as high density, a long time until the annihilation of dissolution, a constant amount or rate of dissolution, and the like.
