Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize petroleum sludge as fuel, by adding and agitating a surfactant with the petroleum sludge to form an emulsified liquid and mixing and agitating said liquid with a coal/water slurry to form a petroleum sludge/ coal powder granule of low water content.
CONSTITUTION: Petroleum sludge 6 is adjusted such as to contain an oil and water in a proportion of 1:1 and fed to a sludge agitating tank 1, where it is heated to 50W70°C by a heater 5. 500ppm, based on the total feed for granulation, surfactant 7 is added, and mixed and agitated with the heated sludge to form an emulsified liquid. In a coal/water slurry tank 2, a coal/water slurry is prepd. by adding water to coal except anthracite. Then the emulsified liquid 12 and the coal/water slurry 13 are transferred to granulator 3 and granulated with agitation. Then, coal concn. is adjusted so as to be 25W50% based on the total system, and a ratio of the oil in the petroleum sludge to the coal powder is adjusted to be 5:100W35:100.
