Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable completion of an oxidization reaction of hydrocarbon on a catalyzer, by so constituting that the hydrocarbon is made to pass through a fuel reforming unit prior to its supply onto an oxidization catalyzer, in a captioned device wherein the oxidization reaction of the hydrocarbon is caused to be occurred on the surface of the oxidization catalyzer. CONSTITUTION:At the time of an application of a captioned device, gas to be supplied from a supply source of hydrocarbon gas, air and water are supplied to a vaporizer 4 from hydrocarbon supply opening 1, an air fan 2 and a water tank 3 respectively. The hydrocarbon, the air and vapor preheated and mixed with a heater at the vaporizer 4 are sent to a reformer 5, which are converted by a forming catalyzer 7 after they have been heated by passing through a duct heated by a ceramic heater 8 in the reformer 5. Inorganic gas having converted hydrogen and carbonic acid gas as the main constituents passes through a vent pipe 9, which is supplied to an oxidization catalyzer mat 11, an oxidization reaction of the same is carried out on the mat 11 and heat is generated.
