Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a mechanical driving system of a high price which puts two valves, that is, a bypass valve for a main steam valve supplying a starting steam to high and low pressure turbines respectively and a bypass valve for an intercept valve, in linkage by giving an electrical driving signal to each valve separately. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting turbines, driving signals 27S, 11S are given separately to each bypass valve 27 for a main steam stop valve provided in a main steam system 5 and a bypass valve 11 for an intercept valve provided in a reheat steam system 12 through a starting control device 26 to put them in opening motion. As regards the valve opening relation between the valve 27 and 11 at each predetermined opening position, a circuit, which prohibits driving signals 27S, 11S to a valve of the side going first to make an opening motion, is provided in the starting control device 26. Since both valves 27, 11 can thus be driven with their opening maintained in predetermined relation, well balanced supply of steam can be done to a high pressure side turbine 6 and low pressure side turbines 13, 14, and the turbines can be started in the nice condition.
