Abstract

PURPOSE:To becrease the throttle volume of each steam regulator valve so as to improve efficiency of speed governing steps by arranging a control valve system to be characterized in its flow characteristics curve of smooth S-letter, while being equipped with a cam mechanism which controls opening and closing of the plural number of steam requlator valves. CONSTITUTION:A steam flow characteristic curve IV, indicating the relation between steam flow of each steam regulator valve 1-4 and a cam angle of a control valve system equipped with a cam mechanism, is formed in a gentle S-shaped characteristic curve IV. For the rated flow ranging from 5-15% to 70-90%, the set value of speed gradient is assigned to 2.5-5.0%, while for the rated flow of more than 70-90%, said value is gradually increased up to the range 7.0-12.0%. Since the lift of each steam regulator valve 1-4 can thus be inclined forward, the lift of a valve 3, for example, can be increased from the conventional point A to a point B. Accordingly, throttle volume of all steam requlator valves 1-4 is reduced and the efficiency of speed governing steps may be improved.
