Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the shortening of an electrolyte impregnation process regardless of the sufficient increasing of the packing density of the anode depolarizing mix of a button-shaped enclosed battery and heightened its resistance against the leakage of liquid, by previously roughening the surface of the anode depolarizing mix which faces the cathode substances of the battery. CONSTITUTION:The surface A of an anode depolarizing mix 3a is previously roughened. To effectuate the roughening, the anode depolarizing mix 3a is packed in an anode can 1a and compacted to a high density in the can by a press die. Since a prescribed rough surface pattern is provided beforehand on the bottom of the press die which comes into pressure contact with the surface A of the anode depolarizing mix 3a, the rough surface pattern is transferred onto the surface of the mix. The roughness of the surface A of the anode depolarizing mix 3a is 0.05-0.01x.
