Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the thickness of an alloy layer and to improve quality and dimensional accuracy by setting a molding which is made by compacting exothermic pad powder and alloy powder in a wooden pattern in the specific part of a mold. CONSTITUTION:A mixture prepd. by kneading exothermic pad powder and a binder or a binder and a hardener is inserted into the spacing part of a wooden pattern for pad and is compacted, whereby a molding 3 is formed. The pad molding 3 is set in a wooden pattern R' and the alloy powder kneaded with an org. type binder and a hardener is compacted and is molded 2. The compacted moldings 2, 3 are set in the product cavity 4 of a mold 1, after which a riser 5 and a runner 6 are set and the mold is molded with molding sand 1. After the perfection of the mold, molten metal of steel or cast iron is cast, whereby the product is produced.
