Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the inexpensive metal mold for few days by a method wherein a wax pattern in manufactured by using a rubber mold, later fireproof coating is applied thereon, a lost wax shell mold is manufactured through dewaxing and buring and the metal mold is cast by using the shell mold.
CONSTITUTION: A master model 21 is put in a frame 22 and cold-setting liquefied silicone rubber 24 is poured therein, whereby a primary inversion mold 25 is obtained. In this mold 25 cold-setting liquefied silicone rubber 27 is injected and thereby a secondary inversion rubber mold 28 is obtained. This is put in a frame 29 and wax 31 for precision casting is injected therein, whereby the wax pattern 32 is obtained. After wax pattern 33 for forming a part for a sprue and a feeder head is melted and joined to the pattern 32, a fire-proof coating layer (colloidal silica, etc.) 34 is affixed on to the surface of these patterns, thereby a one-layer sanding shell mold 35 being obtained. The metal mold 37 for resin molding is obtained by injecting melted nickel into the mold 35 and casting the same through suction.
