PURPOSE:To prevent circulating current from flowing into a regenerative inverter by connecting a diode between a rectifier terminal and a neutral contact point for a disconnecting switch and thyristor breaker. CONSTITUTION:A diode 10 for checking circulating current is connected between the output terminal 2AB in a rectifier 1AB and a neutral contact point 9AB for a thyristor breaker 7 and a disconnecting switch 8. When a power running car R and a regenerative running car K exist in feeding directions A,B respectively, a regenerative current IRG from the regenerative car K in the feeding direction B flows into the driving car R in the feeding direction A through a diode 6B, the thyristor breaker 7, thyristor switch 4A, and feeder 5A. The thyristor breaker 7 is firstly opened under this state, and next, the disconnecting switch 8 is opened to prevent the regenerative current IRG from flowing into the regenerative inverter 3AB and the circulating current from the thyristor rectifier 1AB is checked by the diode 10.
