Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability by attaining a fail-safe function by providing driving systems for a supervising circuit and then by turning on a photoswitch only when driving systems are all in operation. CONSTITUTION:The supervising circuit, when receiving discrimination signals (supervisory signals) characteristic to respective relays from terminal stations, turns on photoswitch 8 to send the above-mentioned supervisory signals from the up transmission line back to the down transmission line. The supervising circuit is provided with two driving systems (AC amplifier 15, rectifier 16 and DC amplifier 17) and only when the prescribed electric current flows through two windings simultaneously, photoswitch 8 is turned on. If one driving system gets out of order, photoswitch 8 never operates and a sending-back circuit is not formed.
