Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a fault-point detection system which can secure high reliability by allowing a signal transmission system which requires remote feeding to use two feeding systems, constant-current feeding for a main signal system and constant- voltage feeding for a fault search pilot signal system. CONSTITUTION:To the return line of the communication transmission section composed of transmission line K, repeater REPs 1 and 1', and REPs 2 and 2' are connected by adding one fault-point detection circuit. The fault-point detection circuit consists of oversaturation reactor T, voltage-dividing resistances Ra and Ra', rectifier circuit Di, supervisory relay RL, and adjusting resistance Rb. In case of normal feeding, a current flows to windings N1 and N1, of reactor T to decrease the impedance at the N2 sides, relay RL does not operate and contact (rl) is broken, with the section broken, no current flows to reactor T right before the disconnected section to increase the impedance at the N2 side, relay RL operates because of the constant-voltage feeding of the pilot signal system, and contact (rl) makes. Here, a fault point can be decided by detecting the pilot signal frequency.
