Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a thyristor switch and to contrive the simplification of circuit configuration by using a breaker as a switch in an inverter composing an uninterrupted switching circuit for inverter output. CONSTITUTION:A breaker 6 connecting the output in a main inverter 1 to a load 5, an inverter fault detection circuit 13 detecting a fault in the inverter, a thyristor switch opened and closed in accordance with the output in the detection circuit 13 and connecting a stand-by power source 2 to the load and a shunt trip circuit 15 operated by the output in the detection circuit 13 like above 3 and forcibly disconnecting the breaker 6 are provided. When a faule in the inverter 1 is detected by the fault detection circuit 13, the output in the detection circuit 13 is supplied to a gate circuit 12 and a gate signal GP2 for a thyristor switch 4 is fed from the circuit 12. The output in the detection circuit 13 is also applied to the shunt trip circuit 15 to open the breaker 6 after a predetermined period and the inverter 1 and stand-by power source 2 are connected to the load for a predetermined period only.
