Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a leakage current from flowing to a load, by connecting a by-passing circuit by which the leakage current in the course of a break operation of a static breaker body is made to by-pass, in parallel with the load. CONSTITUTION:A by-passing thyristor 14 is provided on the reference potential side from a connecting point A of a thyristor breaker 3 and a disconnecting switch 4, and immediately after an off-control of the thyristor breaker 3, an on-control of the by-passing thyristor 14 is executed. Subsequently, a leakage current from the thyristor breaker 3 is made to by-pass to the by-passing thyristor 14. Also, after the disconnecting switch 4 in this by-passing state has been opened, the by-passing thyristor 14 is turned off by a commutating circuit 15. Accordingly, generation of an arc by the open-circuit operation of the disconnecting switch is removed.
