Abstract

1447494 Transistor operated relays; substation circuits GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 12 March 1974 [22 March 1973] 13741/73 Headings H3T and H4K A latching relay for example for a subscriber's dialling arrangement is connected in series with a capacitor to a switching circuit which in one condition connects the series circuit with the supply and in the other condition shorts the series circuit. The arrangement minimizes the power consumption and is suitable for incorporation in the chip of a M.O.S. logic circuit. When transistor 10 conducts, the pulse of current flowing through the latching reed relay switches it to one state and when 10 is off and 9 on the capacitor discharges to reverse the relay state.
