Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic core which has good rectangular hysteresis characteristic and exciting current characteristic by winding in multiple layers a thin amorphous magnetic alloy strip on an annular unit made of nonmagnetic material having large thermal expansion coefficient, heat treating it at 300-450 deg.C and then enclosing the thin strip with normal temperature curable flexible resin. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic alloy strip 2 is toroidally wound in multiple layers on a metallic ring 1 made of copper or aluminum having a thermal expansion coefficient larger than a thin amorphous magnetic alloy film while applying a tension thereto. This strips are then heated at 300-450 deg.C, a force to expand the strips 2 is produced in the ring 1, an external magnetic field is applied in this state, and the strips are heat treated in the magnetic field. Thereafter, the strips 2 are molded with a normal temperature curable resin 3, and the deterioration in the characteristics of the strips 2 due to the solidification and contraction of the resin is avoided. In this manner, a magnetic core which is adapted for a magnetic phase shifter and a magnetic amplifier can be obtained.
