Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in dark attenuation and light fatigue and to improve sensitivity by providing a conductive layer, an electric charge generating layer contg. an org. pigment generating electric charge and a styryl dye base and an electric charge transfer layer having functions of holding and transferring electric charge. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge generating layer contg. the styryl dye base expressed by the formulaI(R1, R2, R3, R4 are hydrogen, halogen, alkyl groups, aralkyl groups, acyl groups, hydroxyl groups, phenyl groups or substd. phenyl groups, and R5, R6 are hydrogen or alkyl groups) and an org. pigment generating electric charge is formed on a conductive layer. Further, an electric charge transfer layer having functions of transporting the same is provided thereon, whereby the electrophotographic receptor is manufactured. Pigments of azoxybenzene type, disazo type, and benzimidazole type are usable as the org. pigment generating electric charge.
