Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance accuracy in inspection and finishing by measuring dimensions, facial configurations, etc. of a work using a three-dimensional measuring instrument and by having a quantative judgement through comparison of measurement with the reference value. CONSTITUTION:Measurements for a work obtained by a three-dimentional measuring instrument 2 are written in a data file 6 to make judgement if the measurements are comparable with the reference value at a microcomputer 4, i.e. if the reference corresponding to the measurements exists in the memory range 6a for data base information, where an acceptable result of the judgement will allow forwarding of measurements to the microcomputer 4 for comparison with the reference value while an unacceptable result shall command a computer 5 to calculate a reference value applicable for the measurement in this case on the basis of the data base information. Operator makes finishing work by reference to the colored display for the difference of measurements from the reference value on the screen of a color television 8. Thereby inspection and finishing for models, press dies, etc., can be made quantitatively.
