Abstract

PURPOSE:To make corresponding of measurement data and rolls simple by measurig minimum gap values by passing a detector between rolls, and comparing the same with preset arrangement patterns. CONSTITUTION:When a detector is moved successively between respective rolls and their gaps are measured, minimum values are detected in order of (a), (b)-(s), and these are sent to a master station, where they are stored. The measurement numbers indicating these measurement order numbers do not correspond to the roll numbers of which measurements are actually required on account of projections of 16, 17, 18, 19 of A. Thereupon, in which place of the measurement numbers the data of the projections appear is beforehand checked through the detector, and deletion commands are set with a correction setting display device and are stored in a microcomputer. Since the final measurement number is the final roll number, the measurement number 18' in B and C of the figure corresponds to roll number 15, and with this as a reference, the master station allocates the addresses of the computer by skipping the deleted measurement numbers and data, and provides the data shown by C corresponding to the roll number.
