Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable an anemometer to be tested under a working condition, by a method wherein a length of a positive or negative period of a voltage generated at an AC generator running in proportion to velocity of wind is measured, in order, to convert a reference velocity of wind based on the integrated value of the measurements. CONSTITUTION:Counting values, proportioning a length of a positive or negative period, are recorded like m1, m2 and m3 as shown in a drawing and in a memory M of a data processor 8 each time an AC voltage of an anemometer changes to a positive or negative. If a check instruction is sent to the processor 8 from a setter 10, the processor 8 integrates a specified number of counting values in the order of m2, m3 starting from the newest memory value m1, and then finds integration with m2 set to the starting point and in a manner described above to compute a given number of moving integrating values. After it is ascertained that a deviation between the values is small and a change in velocity of wind during testing is small, a specified number of counting values is integrated starting from m1, a velocity value of wind corresponding to said value is computed to display it in a display device 9. The comparison of the velocity value of wind so found with the velocity value of wind displayed in a velocity of wind recorder 3 permits the anemometer to be checked as it is left under a working condition.
