Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a simple and easy measurement of a volume of an underground cavity, by a method wherein tow-in-a-set picture of the section of the cavity to be measured, which is taken in a stereophotograph, is set in a stereoscopic photography reading device to find a horizontal section area, and the volume value is multiplied with a height. CONSTITUTION:Four reference points 2 are set at 4 corners at a lower part of a measuring section 3 of a cavity 6, and a stereophotograph of two-in-a-set picture taken by means of a stereoscopic camera 1. The picture is set at a stereophotograph reading device, is secured (5) at given distance of, for example, 1.0m-0.2m, a cordinate at each measuring point around the cavity 6 is read to find a horizontal section area, and the value is multiplied with a height to find a volume. The counting is performed by means of an electronic computer. This permits the simple and easy measurement of the volume of the underground cavity 6.
