Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the efficient and mutual conversion between movements of fluid and mechanical rotation by using a planetary gearing for reducing the kinetic loss.
CONSTITUTION: Rotating shafts 10 fitted to movement-transmission plates 11 are mounted on rotation support plates 5aW5c made in one body with a central shaft 2 to be rotatable. On one end of the revolving shaft 10, outer planetary gears 9 with a tooth number in which they are given a half rotation by every one rotation of rotating shafts 10 via intermediate planetary gears 8 are fitted and fast fixed. Even if the movement-transmission plates 11 are moved to any position on the circular orbit of the rotating shafts 10 round the central shaft 2, its directions are devised to cross the circular orbit always at fixed points for conversion. This device can be used not only for a windmill but for a water wheel. For the use for the water wheel, rotation support plates 5a and 5b are preferably made in one body to give a watertight construction to gears between them.
