Abstract

PURPOSE: To operate accurate speed-change control on the output shaft, by the method wherein two sets of planet gears are placed opposite to each other, each sun gear is connected to the input and output shafts, each planet gear is fastened to a common support, one inner gear is fixed, and the other inner gear is held so that it can rotate freely, and its rotation is varied.
CONSTITUTION: Two sets of planetary gear mechanisms consisting of sun gears 1 and 4, planet gears 2 and 5, and inner gears 3 and 6, are placed opposite to each other in case 7. Planet gears 2 and 5 are fastened to ring 11, which is held by floating shaft 9 via bearing 10. Inner gear 3 is fixed to case 7 by means of rig-shaped flange 14, and inner gear 6 is held by flange-fitted cylinder 16 so that it can rotate freely. Sun gears 1 and 4 are provided with projecting shafts 21, 22. Shaft 21 is made as the input shaft. When it rotates in a specified direction, shaft 22 rotates in the same direction and at the same speed. When inner gear 6 is rotated in either direction, the rotational speed of shaft 22 is changed. Consequently, by adjusting the rotational direction and rotational speed of inner gear 6, the rotational speed of output shaft 22 can be controlled without steps.
