Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When an input shaft 1 is rotated, the ring gear 6 and a gear 4 integral with the sun gear tend to be rotated into the same direction through the input shaft 1 and a pair of spur gears 2, 3. At this moment, if a load is being imposed to an output shaft 5, a difference is caused in the number of revolutions of the gears 6, 4 and the gear 6 tends to be rotated reversely by the planetary gears 7, 8 attached to the output shaft 5, however, the reverse rotation is precluded at this moment by the functions of one-way clutches 10, 11 attached to a fixed chassis 9, as a result, the ring gear 6 is fixed. Accordingly, the speed of the output shaft 5 is reduced through the gears 7, 8. When the number of revolutions of the input shaft 1 is increased, the oneway clutches 10, 11 are released and a torque for the output shaft 5 is changed.
