Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to rotate an output shaft in one direction irrespective of the rotational direction of an input shaft, by arranging, between two bevel gears on the input side and the input shaft, respective one-way clutches whose transmission directions are opposite each other.
CONSTITUTION: The bevel gear 16, 16' are mounted on an input shaft 12 which is included in a power transmission 10 and is rotatable forwardly or backwardly, one bevel gear 20 on the output side is mounted on an output shaft 12 which can rotate only in one direction, and one-way clutches 24, 24' are mounted between the bevel gears 16, 16' and the input shaft 12. For example, if the input shaft rotates in a direction of d1, the output shaft is rotated in a direction of d3 while an outer wheel 32' of the one-way clutch 24' rotates freely clockwise with respect to the input shaft 12. Thus in any case where the input shaft 12 rotates forwardly or backwardly, the one-way clutches 24, 24' are automatically switched to rotate the output shaft 14 in one direction at all times.
