Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the weight and size of a transmission gear by a method wherein gear pairs for transmitting rotational force from an input shaft to a counter gear shaft are arranged in two rows, and a pair of high and low speed range input gears are rotatably fitted on the input shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Gear pairs for transmitting rotational force from an input shaft 1 to a counter gear shaft 30 are arranged in two rows, and high and low speed range input gears 7 and 9 are rotatably fitted on the shaft 1. By only adding a pair of gear trains to a conventional transmission gear, the number of gear ratio stages of the transmission gear can be nearly doubled. Therefore, the weight and size of a transmission gear can be reduced, and an auxiliary speed change gear can be fitted to a transmission gear, particularly to one limited in fitting space.
