Abstract
PURPOSE: To semipermanently generate electricity by providing pairs of gears containing ratchets, and the like, and utilizing the energy obtained by the oscillation of a pendulum.
CONSTITUTION: A bevel gear 14 is attached to the end of a shaft 13 inserted into a hollow shaft 5, and a bevel gear 15 to be meshed with the gear 14 is attached to a small-diameter shaft 10 so that the pivoting motion of the shaft 13 caused by the oscillation of a pendulum can be transmitted to the small-diameter shaft 10 in the longitudinal direction of the shaft. In addition, pairs of gears 16a and 16b and 17a and 17b fitted to the hollow shaft 5 and the small-diameter shaft 10 respectively contain ratchet mechanisms, not shown. Moreover, the rotations of the gears 16a and 16b and the gears 17a and 17b are transmitted to a shaft 18 to be connected to a generator 3 through gears 19 and intermediate gears 20 so as to be a rotation in one direction.
