Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the operationability, fuel cost and the prevention of noises of a car by controlling the exciting currents of an electromagnetic clutch connecting a driving shaft and an output shaft in a piston type internal combustion engine so that fixed relationship is formed between the speed of revolution of both shafts.
CONSTITUTION: The speed of revolution Ne of the driving shaft 4 is detected by means of a revolution speed detector 16, and the variable speed of revolution ±ΔNe per unit time is computes and set sliding speed Ns is set in a controller 24. The controller 24 computes the absolute value of difference between the speed of revolution Ne of the driving shaft 4 and the speed of revolution Nt of the output shaft 6 by means of a revolution speed detector 18 while detecting smoothed value No. The smoothed value No and the set sliding revolution speed Ns are compared, and the exciting currents of the electromagnetic clutch 8 are controlled so that fixed relationship is formed among the mean number of revolution Ne of the driving shaft, the variable speed of revolution ΔNe of the driving shaft and the speed of revolution Nt of the output shaft. Accordingly, the transmission of torque is smoothed, and noises can be prevented.
