Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a material which emits multi-color light with high brightness by the excitation of low-speed electron beam, by mixing a silver-activated phosphor, a phosphor composed of a matrix oxide of Zn or Al and a Cr activator and an electrically conductive oxide material.
CONSTITUTION: A phosphor (A) of the formula Zn1-xCdx:Ag, Al (wherein 0.6≤ x≤0.9 and the matrix is activated with 10-7W10-3g of each of silver and aluminum) is mixed with a phosphor (B) composed of a matrix oxide of the formula AB2O4:Cr (wherein A is Zn, Cd; B is Al, Ga) contg. chromium as an activator in a weight ratio of A to B of 1/9W1/1. An electrically conductive oxide material such as In2O3-based electrically conductive material is added to the mixture. The light-emitting threshold voltage of this light-emitting material is about 15V.
