Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a luminous material to emit blue light when excited by low- speed electron beams, by mixing an Sn-doped indium oxide-based conductive material with a Zn- and/or Ag-activated zinc sulfide fluorescent substance.
CONSTITUTION: One or more fluorescent substances, selected from the group consisting of Zn-activated zinc sulfide fluorescent substance (ZnS:Zn), Ag-activated zinc sulfide fluorescent substance (ZnS:Ag), and Zn, Ag-activated zinc sulfide fluorescent substance (ZnS:An, Ag), are mixed with an Sn-doped indium oxide- based conductive material (In2O3:xSnO2; 0.008<x≤0.1) in a ratio of 14:1W1:14 by weight, preferably 4:1W1:4 by weight.
EFFECT: A luminous material exhibiting a bright blue luminescence even at an accelerating voltage of several ten V or less can be obtained.
