Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a picture tube with high luminous output which is pure blue luminous, by combining a specific amount of calcium fluoride phosphor which is formed by activating a blue fluorescent phosphor with Mn and a specific amount of zinc sulfide phosphor which is self-activated or activated with silver. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed amount of at least one of self-activated zinc sulfide phosphor and silver activated zinc sulfide phosphor is combined with Mn activated calcium fluoride phosphor which exhibits high luminous intensity under the irradiation of an electron beam scanning with high speed in order to elongate the phosphor decay of the obtained phosphor and enable to be pure blue luminous. 25-100pts.wt. of Mn activated calcium fluoride is combined with 75- 0pts.wt. of self-activated or silver activated zinc sulfide phosphor.
