Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an optical deflector of large deflection angles and easy manufacture for small sized optical devices and optical ICs by constituting the same of an optical propagation medium buried in the groove of a substrate covering, and comb-shaped electrodes provided between the optical coulers on the medium. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 32 has surface protecting film 31, and an optical propagation medium 34, and a pair of comb-shaped electrodes 39 are formed on the film 31 and the medium 34 between prisms 301 and 302.
