CONSTITUTION:A thin film optical wave guide layer 4 is formed on the surface of a substrate such as a ceramic plate consiting of piezo-electric materials, and an IDT5 is provided in the center, and surface acoustic waves 7 are radiated from the IDT5. Optical fiber connectors 8 and 9 are so set that lights 10 and 11 from them intersect wave surfaces of surface acoustic waves 7 at angles theta and -theta and the angle theta is Bragg angle. Bragg-diffracted lights 12 and 13 are led to optical fiber connectors 16 and 17 for output through grating lenses 14 and 15 for expanding the light flux.
