Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the branching and fixing ratios of light easily by disposing optical fibers at one end face of a focusing rod lens, providing a light reflector in a partial region on the other end face and providing the other reflector on the outer side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 8 of which the half part has a transparent body is provided on the other end face of a focusing rod lens 1 arranging fibers 3-5 at one end face, and the other reflecting mirror 8' is provided on the outer side thereof with an inclination to the end face of the lens. Part of the light made incident to the lens 1 from the fibers 3 is reflected by the mirror 8 and is made incident again to the fiber 4 past the lens. On the other hand, the light passed a transparent body 9 is reflected by the mirror 8' and is made incident to the fiber 5 through the lens 1. If the position of the mirror 8 is moved upward, the quantity of the light entering the fiber 4 increases and therefore, it is possible to control the branching ratio by controlling the adhering position of the reflecting mirror.
