Abstract
PURPOSE:To apply an adequate amount of distortion to a light source automatically by providing light sources having similar distortion characteristics, converting the output light of one of the light source into an electric signal, and then negatively feeding the signal back to an input signal. CONSTITUTION:An input signal applied to an input terminal 1 is supplied to a driving circuit 3 after the output voltage of an amplifying circuit 7 is subtracted from the input signal by an adding circuit 2. The output voltage of the circuit 3 drives light sources 4 and 5. The output light of the light source 4 is led out by a coupling circuit 8. The output of the light source 5, on the other hand, is converted by a photodetector 6 into an electric signal, which is amplified by a circuit 7 and supplied to the circuit 2. Therefore, distortion having the polarity with which the distortion of the light source 5 is compensated is generated automatically at the output of the driving circuit 3 by an enough amount to nearly cancel the distortion.
