Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electric-optical converter which realizes the compensation of the nonlinear distortion through the feedback method and via the optical system of a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting diode 2 emits the light by the driving current which is delivered from driving circuit 1 in accordance with the electric signal to be transmitted. And part of the emitted light is extracted by optical fiber 3b for extraction of the reference light and then supplied to photo diode 4. Here the light undergoes the photoelectric conversion to be turned into the electric reference signal. This electric reference signal is then fed back to circuit 1. Circuit 1 gives alteration to the drive current output so as to give the correction to the reference signal to the electric signal to be transmitted, and then drives diode 2 for glowing.
