Abstract
PURPOSE:To erase offset voltage, by detecting the difference between a reference voltage and an unknown input voltage by an inverter and supplying the difference of potential between the input and output terminals of the inverter to the load element of an F/F. CONSTITUTION:When switches S1, S3 and S4 are closed with switches S2 and S5 opened, respectively, a capacitor C is charged by a reference voltage VR and via the switch S1. Then the switch S2 is closed, and an unknown input voltage VX is applied. Thus the voltage of an input terminal P<1> varies from VR to VX, and the voltage equivalent to the degree of change is sent to an inverter I to be amplified. The voltage of the input/output terminals of the inverter I is applied to the gates of MOSFETs Q1 and Q2 which function as the active load elements of a flip-flop F/F. When the switch S5 is closed with the switch S4 opened, the MOSFETs Q3 and Q4 are made active and broken, respectively in the case of VX>VR. Then the FETQ4 becomes active in the case of VX<VR. Thus no offset voltage is caused since a short circuit is previously given between the input and output terminals of the inverter I.
