Abstract

PURPOSE:To call many telephone sets individually by one branch transmission line by using control signals of intermittent signals having specific frequencies which correspond to the dial numbers of the telephone sets. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone set 3b originates, its dial signal and voice signal are separated by the telephone-set repeater circuit 11 of a coupler 6b. The voice signal is sent to a coupling circuit 13 via a signal line 12, and the dial signal is sent to a control circuit 15 via a signal line 14. The control 15 circuit converts the dial signal into an intermittent signal as a control signal f0 within a voice frequency band which corresponds to the dial number, and the intermittent signal is sent out to the coupling circuit 13 via a signal line 16. The control signal f0 is combined with the voice signal by the coupling circuit 13, whose output is sent out via a transmission output terminal 8 to a branching device 2b' and then supplied to another branching device 2x' via a telephone circuit 1. In the branching device 2x', this signal is supplied to a separating circuit 18 through the reception input terminal 7 of a coupling circuit 6x' and a control circuit 15 checks the frequency of intermittence of the f0.
