PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of crosstalk to make wide-band transmission possible, by arranging frequencies so that frequency bands of the up transmission signal and the down transmission signal do not overlap each other, in the four-wire transmission system using the balance cable. CONSTITUTION:In case that the telephone signal and the commercial television signal are transmitted simultaneously, down telephone signal 1 is arranged in the frequency band between up telephone signal 1 and commercial television signal 2. When crosstalk is generated on the down transmission line by up telephone signal 1, crosstalk has no influence upon the transmission signal because the transmission signal exists in up idle band 3 corresponding to down telephone signal 1.
